"She doesn't believe in wearing costumes. She's not the free spirit I am"

Big Bang Theory fans will recognize the quote.

Last night was SO MUCH FUN. There were plenty of great costumes, along with plenty of awful ones and ones that made you go "wtf?".
Arkham Asylum Harley Quinn

A couple people didn't get my costume, and a couple had to ask to confirm their suspicions but for the most part I got loads of compliments, which is pleasing. I didn't end up wearing the stiletos (I would have surely ended up on my face), but the black flats I choose matched perfectly.

We (Catwoman, Rorschach, and I) met the masked crawlers at Dante's around 4:30. Rorschach quickly found a troupe of other watchmen:
plus Ivan Vanko?
The most popular costumes were definitely catwoman and poison ivy.
Melinda (the small one on the left) had the best catwoman costume though.
No one can beat Michelle Pfeiffer's maniac.
I only found two other Harley Quinns and funny enough we were all dressed as different versions of her!

There was easily over 200 people present. After Dante's we followed this thing on wheels being pushed by crawlers (presumably the sponsors of this shin dig) that was blasting dance music. We were all encouraged to dance to our next destination which was a comic book store that we quickly walked through and then took off to our next bar called The Splash Bar. It was there that we found Batman, his wife Batgirl, and the Penguin

sorry for crummy phone pictures

The Penguin bought Catwoman and I shots and then proceeded to cling to us the rest of the evening (it was creepy and every time we thought we evaded him, he'd pop back up.) We eventually got away from him but he wasn't the first or the last of the creepers that night (Catwoman was a particular favorite for obvious reasons). On the way to some other bar I got pulled aside by what I assume was a Green Lantern and we proceeded to salsa, then moved on our way. Catwoman and I eventually got up on the thing on wheels and danced on top of it while other superheroes pushed us through the streets. Sooooo many pedestrians and people in cars were stopping to take pictures and gawk at us. But hey, just another day in Portland, am I right?

Not quite a replacement for Jenn, but she did a good job
on her costume

Riddler and another Poison Ivy

This Joker was terrifyingly awesome. Loved the gun

Another Poison Ivy and Sailor Mars! She said no one got her
costume, which is distressing. I <3 Sailor Moon
The last stop on the agenda was Boxxes were Catwoman and I were asked to get on stage with some other super heroins and entice dancers to come up to us so we could pour Spiderman cereal all over them. It was incredible. Doctor Horrible bought me a drink called Kryptonite Cooler, which tasted pretty much like Kryptoshit, but hey, Doctor Horrible bought it for me!

There was a Led Zepplin cover band playing at the Crystal but we decided we were too hungry to go and instead went to the McMenamins right next to the venue. Most other crawlers followed our example and soon we had the place packed with superheros and villains. There happened to be a Timber's game that night as well and when the game ended we were window displays for the sports fans as they walked by our. Easily the most awesomely nerdi-est night I have ever had.

I'm going to eventually make a mallet and cork gun to go along with my costume for Halloween.

I'll have to tweek my makeup a little bit because by the end of the night my mask was pretty much gone. It was a good trial run though! We are going to have a whole batman entourage for Halloween (Rorschach is in the process of making a killer batman costume) and we are totally going to win every costume contest we can find!
