DEQ: 1

Finally defeated DEQ. Got the new tags put on and now all I need to do is take it to the Sharif's department so they can inspect it (to make sure I actually did it because of the stoooopid citation I got). Then to write a letter and send it off to the court, all before next Wednesday. If I hadn't have passed a second time though, I would have pushed the car into the river and been done with it.
"I don't know officer, one minute my car was there then it was gone".
It was an easy fix though, could have done it all my myself except for the fact that i'm still a bit timid when it comes to working on my car when there are no experts around. It was the coil pack that needed to be changed which involved unplugging the cords, taking out two bolts and replacing. Gas mileage is 10X better now and it shifts like it's supposed to.
My triathlon is THIS SUNDAY. I have been training for it (erherm, sort of). I am running at least 3 miles every other day, at least.
And OMG BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT RISES WAS AWESOME!! I not only went to the midnight showing of it but I also did the three movies all in a row of awesomeness at the Cinetopia in Beavertron. Eight whole hours of Batman *nerd coma*. But yes, overall I am very pleased with the whole trilogy and thought that it ended well (no spoilers here). Totally be added to the Trilogy Hall of Fame. Unfortunate about the shooting in Colorado though. That's the second terrible shooting incident they have had in less than 20 years (the other I am referring to is Columbine High School of course). I heard Christian Bale went and visited the victims in the hospital. I love it when famous people go out of their way like that (although I'm not denying that his PR people probably pushed for it but whatever, it was nice). As everyone else, I am so curious to hear what this guy's motives were and if he is going to tie them to the franchise/batman at all because his tactics were very Joker-esque (smoke bombs, rigged apartment etc.). People will blame the movie regardless though, along with guns (hey, people kill people alright. You wanna make that counter argument then I say consider this; Spoons make people fat). I hope it doesn't impact the movie negatively though, because it was a great one.
Another good Christopher Nolan Movie I just watched last night was the Prestige. It was like Batman vs. Wolverine plus Momentum (the movie) plus magic. Full of typical Chris Nolan twists and turns and wtf moments. Loved it.
